  7.    The C run-time function stat does not work correctly when used in
  8. OS/2 on files that have the HIDDEN or SYSTEM attributes set.
  9.    Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Version 5.10 of the
  10. C compiler. We are researching this problem and will post new
  11. information as it becomes available.
